Use either pluots, plums, plums, peaches, or apples.
White and Red, not too dry wines
1 teaspoon powdered ginger
1.5 Tablespoons powedered cinnamon
1/3 cup of sugar
Slice your fruit or fruits of choice. Place fruit in pot and poor enough water to cover same. Now mix in two jiggers of the white and three of the red wine. Mix in the sugar and stir... Now stir in the ginger and cinnamon.
Bring to boil for 20 minutes stir intermittently and then let simmer so liquid can reduce. Now let sit until cool. Refrigerate.
Now enjoy! ~ This sauce is also absolutely delicious on toast or english muffin, lamb, duck, or chicken as well as over ice cream and fruit salad.
